Last week, Futuro Cabo del Este held an exchange of conversations on sustainable water solutions for Mexico, where Amy Jones, MAR+Invest Coordinator, participated as a guest speaker alongside specialists from PURA and Grupo Requilibrium.
The panel discussed water regeneration technologies, circular economy models, and the potential of Water Bonds as a financial tool to promote responsible practices in the hotel and construction sectors.
Amy presented the MAR+Invest initiative and the development of the Clean Water Fund, an innovative blended-finance model that combines private and philanthropic capital to offer impact loans linked to environmental metrics. She highlighted the urgency of addressing pollution in the Yucatán Peninsula and the opportunity to drive solutions that protect coastal ecosystems and communities.
The dialogue concluded with a call to strengthen regional collaboration among companies, civil society, and conservation projects to accelerate the transition toward a more resilient water future.
